Our client is one of the leading software providers in the healthcare sector, operating internationally with several thousand employees. The company develops business-critical software solutions that help make healthcare processes more efficient, secure, and future-ready.

For a strategically important leadership role, we are looking for an experienced engineering leader who can take responsibility for a large SaaS product and platform environment in the ambulatory healthcare domain.

The role combines executive-level engineering leadership, SaaS transformation, regulatory responsibility, AI adoption, and platform strategy.

Your Impact

• You take end-to-end responsibility for a large, distributed engineering organization that develops ambulatory SaaS solutions as well as shared framework modules used across multiple healthcare software products.
• Together with executive leadership, product management, and technology stakeholders, you define and drive the strategic product and technology roadmap for a cloud-based ambulatory software portfolio.
• You ensure that regulatory requirements in the healthcare environment — including medical device regulations, audits, certifications, and compliance standards — are embedded into product development, delivery, and operations.
• You lead senior leaders and cross-functional engineering teams, continuously improving scalability, quality, delivery performance, AI maturity, and innovation speed across products and platforms.
• You represent the domain internally and externally, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and help position the company as a leading SaaS provider in the Health-IT market.

Your Profile

• You bring long-standing leadership experience at Director, VP, CTO, or comparable level in SaaS product development, ideally with responsibility for large, distributed engineering organizations and complex product portfolios.
• You have a strong academic background with a completed university degree, preferably in computer science, medical informatics, engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• You have deep expertise in cloud architectures, SaaS platforms, modern DevOps practices, reliability engineering, and scalable product development.
• Experience with healthcare software, regulated environments, medical device requirements, audits, or certifications is a strong advantage.
• You have a proven track record of driving AI adoption within engineering organizations — ideally with practical exposure to agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or comparable solutions, including AI agents, skills, workflows, engineering pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering at scale.
• You communicate confidently in English and German and combine strategic thinking with strong execution, entrepreneurial drive, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to guide complex organizations through transformation.
