As part of its continued transformation toward cloud-based SaaS products and AI-native engineering, our client is looking for an experienced engineering executive to lead and scale multiple software development teams.

Your Impact

As Vice President Software Development SaaS Products, you will take responsibility for the strategic, organizational, and people leadership of several software development teams. You will drive the further development of a modern SaaS product portfolio and establish scalable engineering structures across teams.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing multiple software engineering teams, including engineering managers and technical leaders.
• Building a culture of innovation, collaboration, ownership, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
• Defining and driving software development strategies focused on scalable SaaS architectures, cloud technologies, robustness, security, and faster time-to-market.
• Establishing AI-native engineering practices across teams, including the use of modern agentic development tools, workflows, pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering.
• Making AI-driven productivity gains measurable and translating them into sustainable improvements in delivery speed, quality, and engineering effectiveness.
• Ensuring that development processes, quality standards, security requirements, and healthcare-related regulatory standards are consistently met.
• Aligning product requirements with business objectives and translating strategic priorities into clear engineering roadmaps.
• Mentoring engineering leaders and regularly communicating progress, risks, technical decisions, and innovation initiatives to executive management.

Your Profile

You are an experienced software engineering leader with a strong SaaS, cloud, and product mindset. You combine technical depth with strategic thinking, strong people leadership, and the ability to drive transformation across multiple teams.

You bring:

• Extensive experience in software development leadership roles, ideally within SaaS, cloud-based products, or healthcare software.
• A proven track record of delivering complex software products in scalable cloud environments.
• A very good university degree in computer science, software engineering, medical informatics, or a comparable technical field.
• Strong technical understanding of SaaS architectures, cloud and distributed systems, security, quality automation, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience in driving AI adoption within engineering organizations, ideally with familiarity with agentic development tools such as Claude Code or comparable solutions.
• Deep experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as Lean Management principles.
• The ability to scale engineering practices, delivery models, and leadership structures across multiple teams.
• Excellent English and very good German language skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially at executive level.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, high innovation drive, and strong motivation to improve healthcare through technology.
