The company develops mission-critical software solutions that support healthcare professionals in their daily work and contribute to a smarter, more connected, and more efficient healthcare system.

As part of a major technology transformation, the organization is investing heavily in cloud architectures, AI-native software development, security-by-design, and the modernization of complex legacy systems.

To strengthen the architecture function, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead Architecture (f/m/d) who combines strong technical credibility with leadership skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on transformation experience.

Your Impact:

• You lead an architecture team of around 10 software and security architects, including senior experts in databases, performance, security, cloud, and integration.
• You further develop the team, align architectural priorities across multiple product lines, and ensure that the right expertise is deployed where it creates the highest impact.
• You harmonize and standardize architecture principles, processes, and decision-making across a complex product landscape.
• You work closely with engineering, product management, security, and senior leadership to ensure consistent architectural standards and pragmatic implementation.
• You own and drive the architecture roadmap for cloud, security, AI-native architectures, and modern software patterns.
• You guide the modernization of a historically grown system landscape and help transform legacy architectures into scalable, secure, and future-ready platforms.
• You lead large-scale refactoring and modernization initiatives using AI-based tools, agents, workflows, pipelines, harnesses, and code-analysis approaches.
• You make modernization across C++ desktop, Delphi, Uniface, legacy .NET, and other established technologies more repeatable, measurable, and efficient.
• You establish AI tooling as a first-class element within the architecture practice.
• You coach architects and senior experts, define best practices and reference implementations, and build a strong architecture community based on technical excellence, ownership, and pragmatic execution.

Your Profile:

• You bring several years of experience as a software architect, solution architect, or enterprise architect in complex software environments.
• You have proven leadership experience with architecture teams, senior architects, or highly specialized technical experts.
• You have a strong background in modern software architecture, including microservices, cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, security-by-design, API-driven integration, and scalable SaaS platforms.
• You are experienced in modernizing complex legacy software landscapes and understand the challenges of refactoring, migration, technical debt reduction, dependency management, and architectural transformation.
• You have worked in business-critical product environments and know how to balance long-term architecture vision with pragmatic delivery.
• You have a strong interest in AI-driven software engineering and ideally hands-on experience using AI-based tools for architecture, code analysis, refactoring, modernization, or developer productivity.
• Experience with Claude Code or comparable agentic tools, including agents, workflows, skills, pipelines, harnesses, or context engineering, would be a strong advantage.
• You hold a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• You communicate confidently in English and German and are able to engage with both senior technical experts and business stakeholders.
• You bring a clear, decisive communication style, strong technical credibility, a hands-on mindset, and a proactive, solution-oriented way of working.
